One of the best things about a business like Kooday is that so many people are willing to help others, even if it does not directly benefit themselves. I have been talking to a Kooday member that keeps up with the Kooday Online website and she has sent me a email that she sent out to her group offering it to me to use on here. As such I will not edit it and post it ‘as is’. There is some good information on there and the conference call I was already goning to be posting about and still will as a separate post. Hi Koodayer’s !

Just wanted to give you an update on a conversation I had with Mark from Kooday this morning.

As many of us have seen, Kooday has placed the star ranking next to each of our words.  For the majority of us, we see a ton of “Not Found.”  Mark explained to me that it’s not that the main Kooday site (under testing on another server) doesn’t recognize the word, it’s just not being located in our beta data test site due to all the features not fully implemented.  Therefore, if you have a “great word/phrase” that you know is located on a website but not showing up as “found,” you can simply use the “IPR” feature (under News), copy and paste the URL and follow the instructions to get that site in to the system to increase your percentage ranking.  Please note, this is not required by us at all, just an option to increase our percentages.

I have found, even with entering a URL in the IPR the word that I own still does not show up in the listing.  I noticed too that “my word” may be in the coding of the header of the website and not recognized yet by the test IPR.  However, all the smaller words are being added to the system using the test IPR, that is why you’ll see some “lesser” valued words in your “word empire” appearing with a star by them.

As an example.  I own Kooday Inc., we all know it exists on the main Kooday website, but the IPR in our beta site ….right now is not seeing it and states “Not Found” (Kooday Inc. is in the footer coding).  But a word like “and” has a star.  Please take note that those smaller types of words with stars do not mean they are more valuable it simply means they are in the system and are found on a website during this testing.

Please think like an advertiser, if you submitted your website to Kooday and they send back all the words found, would you select “and” to link up to?  I certainly would not, therefore, I would not increase the value on that word.  However, I would continue to increase the value on Kooday Inc. b/c I know it would be a linkable word by Kooday and anyone that has the Kooday site on their own website to attract more users.

I also discussed with him his thoughts on when we will see more features, he feels over the weekend we might see additional changes.  The programmers are working daily now ( even weekends) to get the full Kooday site up to speed, so watch for changes in the days/weeks to come.  Kooday wants to get everything working as much as we want to see it, trust me, the large advertiser waiting to come in to Kooday is money in Kooday’s pocket as well as ours, so they are eager too to see things progress quickly.  I personally can’t wait to see everything working properly !!!  But realize, like any new start-up company or website, it takes testing and tweaking to get it right.  I truly believe Kooday will give Google and Yahoo a run for their money !!
